HIRING: Class C Driver

DIRECT LUMBER AND DOOR OF COLORADO IS CURRENTLY HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

POSITION TITLE: CLASS C DRIVER

REPORTS TO: Dispatcher

STATUS: Full Time, Monday-Friday

LOCATION: Fort Collins Lumber Facility, 1800 E. Harmony Rd. Ft. Collins, CO 80528.

PAY RANGE FOR CDL CLASS C DRIVER: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience

This position is responsible for delivering building materials to our customers in safe and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transporting goods to and from specified locations according to company delivery schedules
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of goods as needed
• Ensuring that the company truck is clean and well-maintained at all times
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience driving a company vehicle is a plus
• Hands on experience with GPS applications
• Ability to drive long hours
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Must have a smart phone
